Will they build something here?

It looks like this just behind my apartment area. It used to be Sanlitun South, a famous bar street. It has looked like this for more than a year says Andreas. It is typical Beijing/China, with a huge empty space and then nothing. But maybe it's not so typical Chinese. When i was a short time in Houston, Texas it looked the same at some places. Very un-Swedish... I wonder what will happen to the place. (This picture is taken before the snow fell, so it's not gone yet)
