Pictures from Dongguan

Dongguan is a 10 million big city in the province of Guangzhou, in the south of China. Just north of Hong Kong, up in the Pearl River delta. It's a factory town, with lots of production, shipping out goods to the rest of the world. I was there looking at the factories we use, to understand how they produce our products. Which is useful in my work? Because of the focus of manufacturing don't create the most wonderful town... Pretty ugly and it all looks the same, everywhere you go. There are a lot of cars, and all of them are not using a catalyzer to decrease the pollution. Sigh...
This is the common weather; a grey and smoggy sky. They rarely see blue sky and almost never the stars. Now in early wintertime it's about 20 degrees Celsius, and in the summer, puh, it's hotter I've heard. Yummy...

This is us at one of the factories; Sophie - PSM OSM Beijing, Me - tall designer from Sweden, XU - the boss of the factory, Andreas - another tall Swedish designer and last Hu - the vice general manager (with a soar throat from yesterdays karaoke).
Thsi is one part of our lunch together with Xu and Hu. Depp fried bees... Actually they didn't taste that bad. It tasted like flourish hunny puffs.
Another type of Chinese food; Hot Pot. If you go to China, you have to have it. Two different flavoured pots, one spicy and one not. Then you just put in what you like, it's a sort of a fondue. I and Andreas also went to the Material Market to look for fabrics, leather and other materials. And it's so beautiful! Delicious colours and feelings...
