On my way to the office there's a construction site. Everyday I have to pass a cloud of construction dust and irritating noises. What used to be a narrow small road between corrugated steel sheets is now a wide asphalt road, but only after a few weeks of total chaos when they built the sewer under the road. The easiest way was to bike around the site because you never knew if it was closed or not. But now it's ready... Or? No! The manholes for the sewer wasn't in the correct height (I'm sorry but isn't that typical Chinese - not make it correct from the start, or not knowing what factors to adapt to). So the latest days they have raised the manholes to fit the street. A lot of extra work, but that's no problem - the labour is too cheap anyway. Sigh... In this country labour is too cheap...
