Another day in Dashanzi 798

A relaxed day in the 798 art district. Unfortunately we missed the sun that gave us warmth the previous days. Kim had a friend here visiting. He works for Sony Ericsson and travel back and forth to China all the time. He's sitting here with the great hot apple cider with a cinnamon stick and rum (this time, it's supposed to be whiskey but the where out of that).

In 798 the atmosphere is not so Chinese. Honest and very industrial chic in a way. They dare to mix old and new, something that not is so common in the city.
I like this photos. Actually I bought a book of him this time. Nice...

Johannes admiring the precision of the art piece.
I like...
This fiber glass style is very Beijing, you see it everywhere, especially statues of Mao.

Anish Kapoor - an Indian/English artist had great exhibition this time! He usually have great exhibitions actually... The best part was this pillar of smoke that rose from the floor rising up to a vent. So cool!
The pillar was in the middle of this big spiral construction. To get into the middle you have to go inside it. That increases the experience of the smoke pillar when you get there.
